WALT: I learnt a new strategy to write Reading Responses. I used the Keywords in the question to help me look for answer in the text.

It was cool. When I was doing my work, I learnt a new strategy and the strategy is to find the key works in the text and then look in your book to find works.

WALT: I am learning to write a Recount

Last week on Tuesday 10th March 2015, the year 7 and the year 8 students from room’s 9 and 10 went to the Glenbrae school hall to learn to be proud of our own culture and accept who we are. We talked about bullying and all the things that are related to our culture and other cultures.

We were divided into  our cultural groups and were given a sheet of paper to write about the greetings, food, values and celebrations. We worked as a group and listed everything that we know about our culture. We had to present the haka, singing and dances of our culture to other students.

We all enjoyed the teamwork and after a while we all came back to the classroom. That was cool at the Anti Bullying Program and we enjoyed everything that we did.

Today, the year 7 and year 8's went to Tamaki college to learn about thing on the computers. When i got there we streak into our activity for today.

Our teacher was Mr Roberts and he is a man. We had a lot of fun with he then after when we finish all of our work, we could go on a game. I went on super mechs, it was a lot of fun.

Scratch

WALT: I am learning to use a digital application to create cartoons.

Today, I  have been on Scratch and I have been learning about Scratch. Scratch is a site were you could make your own cartoons.

Nelson Mandela's Life

Nelson Mandela was born on July 18, 1918 on the eastern coast of Africa in Mvezo. The story was about Nelson Mandela standing up for the rights of the people in South Africa because the government took over South Africa. Mandela went to jail for 27 years before he was released.

He was a brave man for standing up for South Africa. Nelson Mandela died on December 5, 2013.  South Africa's first black president, anti-apartheid leader Nelson Mandela, has been buried in his home village near Qunu, in the Eastern Cape Province.
